I would definitely be up for a community and especially in person events or retreats as I have a lot of online interaction in my day job so would love to meet people in person. I don’t have any thoughts about specific topics to talk about….it’s more about the connection in general for me. Thank you for your newsletters - I really appreciate receiving them.
Sarah, thank you so much for your helpful feedback, particularly on the importance of connection. I also agree that in person events and retreats can be preferable when many of us are spending so much time online. I'm really pleased that the newsletter is resonating with you too. It's great to connect!
I agree. I crave live face to face interactions to form bonds with fellow HSPs. We could connect in manageble numbers around topics or activities such as singing, crafts, learning skills. Maybe this could be once or twice a year, like a retreat???
Julia, I've just seen your comment here. Thanks so much for all these suggestions. I love them all and I love retreats! There's a common thread amongst HSPs of wanting connection with likeminded others. Online communities are a start, and I'm currently working on an online platform space to bring us together in a more connected, human way, but absolutely agree it's the face to face interactions which are magic.
I'd love to be part of a UK based community around this - it's really needed. I can't make this week's event but a monthly online gathering with some in-person opportunities to attend retreats would be my preferred options from what you outlined.
